So, we created SkyHopper – a game where you hop cloud to cloud collecting as many SkyMiles facts as you can for a chance to win $400 Delta Gift Cards!
In just six weeks, the game really took off, earning 30.000 Gift card entries, increasing the engagement rate in the Delta Synch app of 67%, and reaching more than 18.000 total plays.
Awareness in disguise
There are 24 SkyMiles facts in total that a player could collect. Most are benefits that members don’t know existed. Each one has its own iconography for quick reinforcement, while tapping into a player’s desire to collect new and different ones.
The more passengers play, the more they collect SkyMiles facts. The more SkyMiles facts they have, the more entries into winning a $400 Delta Gift card. This keeps players playing repeatedly across multiple flights.
In only 6 weeks the game earned so much success that so much so that new versions are being created and released for travelers to enjoy their flight
